The introduction of NCC 2019

The ABCB have recently released a preview, and finished information seminars for building surveyors relating to the introduction of NCC 2019. Three years have passed since the last edition of the BCA, which has brought some significant changes to the look and content of all volumes of the Building Code.
Changes to how energy efficiency can be assessed and verification method for building in bushfire prone areas are two changes our building surveyors have commented will have an impact on your next project. Building surveyors and Certifiers are still permitted to certify buildings to the 2016 edition of the code as it is still in effect until 30th April 2020, however, it may be worth contacting one of our building surveyors today to discuss changes further.
If you would like any further information or would like advice from one of our building surveyors on another project please contact our office on 6114 9356 or admin@greenstartconsulting.com.au
